How It Started
H22 got its start back in 2021 when it was still being called Instagram user handle @wigsbyjada. Attending an out-of state college created challenges for founder and CEO, Jada Jackson when she had to come up with a new routine for her hair. When she no longer afforded the privilege of bi-weekly appointments, she started making wigs for herself and soon realized how lucrative they were. In 2019, she enrolled in cosmetology school and became a licensed cosmetologist less than 1 year later. Wanting to establish her brand, Jada had been praying for God to give her a business name for her Christian-based hair extension company. Growing closer to Christ that year, she decided that everything she did with her life moving forward, she wanted Christ to be at the center. One day while discussing this with a friend, Jada was told to continue to read over her favorite bible scripture Habakkuk 2:2 until God revealed a name to her. It wasn't until later on that H22 was born.
